World Child Cancer is a global organisation, consisting of operating offices in the UK, USA, and the Netherlands, with programme offices in 13 countries.  

Where We Work Worldwide

We currently support 13 programmes in Africa, Asia and Central America as well as supporting a collaborative Wilms’ Tumour collaboration across sub-Saharan Africa. We work with partner hospitals in Bangladesh, Cameroon, Ghana, Indonesia, Kenya, Kosovo, Malawi, Nepal, Mexico, Myanmar, the Philippines, Sierra Leone and Vietnam.

slider-img Bangladesh We are currently working with 7 government hospitals to improve paediatric oncology services in Bangladesh. We also working with the International Children’s Palliative Care Network to improve services for children with life-limiting conditions. READ MORE slider-img Cameroon We have been working to support three rural hospitals across the northwest and southwest of Cameroon. The Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Board manages a number of hospitals in the Northwest and Southwest provinces of Cameroon, providing healthcare for the rural population of subsistence farmers and their families. READ MORE slider-img Ghana We are working to build a network of healthcare systems in Ghana to improve early diagnosis and treatment. This work is made possible through the support of: The UBS Optimus Foundation, Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office, (FCDO), Love Your Melon (LYM), Celgene, and British Foreign School Society (BFSS), amongst other partners. READ MORE slider-img Indonesia We are working to develop a new cancer registry, adaptive treatment protocols and train more healthcare professionals to provide better care for children with cancer in Indonesia. READ MORE slider-img Kenya We are working in Kenya to develop locally adapted treatment protocols, educate healthcare professionals through workshops and identify and research local issues to create corrective measures. READ MORE slider-img Kosovo In Kosovo, we are working in partnership with the Dutch foundation ‘Care for Kosovo Kids’ to support the training and education of healthcare professionals. READ MORE slider-img Malawi Malawi was the first programme that World Child Cancer started supporting. We are partnered with the paediatric oncology unit at the Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre, led by Dr George Chagaluka. READ MORE slider-img Mexico This programme was first initiated in 2015 following an identification of the need to develop a paediatric oncology programme in the region. READ MORE slider-img Myanmar Yangon Children’s Hospital and Mandalay Children’s Hospital have the only dedicated children’s cancer units in Myanmar. READ MORE slider-img Nepal World Child Cancer was awarded a UK Aid Match appeal allowing us to start work in Nepal in conjunction with Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool, UK.
