Open International Competitive Tender
Supply, Delivery, Installation, Commissioning, Training and Warranty of Mammography and Ultrasound Equipment — Kumasi, Ghana
| Tender reference | WCC/CCAN/KUMASI/2026/01 |
| Procuring agent | World Child Cancer (WCC), acting as Local Procurement Agent |
| Contracting authority | City Cancer Challenge Foundation (C/Can) |
| Recipient institutions | Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH); HopeXchange Medical Center; KNUST Hospital |
World Child Cancer (WCC), on behalf of the City Cancer Challenge (C/Can) program, invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified suppliers for the following diagnostic imaging equipment, under two lots:
| Lot | Requirement | Recipient(s) |
| Lot A | 1 × digital mammography system with 3D tomosynthesis, stereotactic biopsy and ACR phantom | KATH |
| Lot B | 3 × diagnostic ultrasound systems — two multi-purpose and one breast-focused | KATH, HopeXchange, KNUST |
Bidders may bid for either lot or for both. A single award is made per lot. C/Can values single-vendor delivery: a bidder that bids both lots and passes the technical threshold on both receives a fixed seven-point bonus on its combined score in each lot (see Instructions to Bidders, clause 8.5). The bonus is not tied to price and does not require a bundle discount. The scope is turnkey: supply, delivery to site, installation, commissioning, clinical and maintenance training, and a two-year (preferred), minimum one-year, on-site warranty.
Key eligibility
- Ghana FDA market authorisation in force for the offered model (a pending application is not sufficient);
- a named in-country (Ghana) after-sales service agent;
- CE marking or equivalent (ISO 13485 / US FDA clearance); and, for Lot A, NRA Ghana (Act 895) compliance;
- equipment new and in current production with a minimum 7-year lifespan; bidder not debarred.
