World Child Cancer, the leading international charity dedicated to addressing the global inequality in childhood cancer care, is seeking a transformational CEO to deliver on their vision of a world where every child with cancer has equal access to the best treatment and care.

World Child Cancer UK was founded in 2007 and now supports programmes in Africa, Asia and Central America.  Our aim is to increase the number of children that are diagnosed with cancer, to improve survival and quality of life. We do this by working with governments to develop health systems that work for children with cancer, promoting health partnerships between health care professionals, training health care staff, funding awareness raising programmes and providing psycho-social support to families.

World Child Cancer UK is seeking a new CEO to lead their Senior Management Team and work with the Board and their partners to deliver the implementation of their current strategic plan to increase the impact of their work and continue the growth of the organisation. As the principal ambassador and spokesperson for World Child Cancer UK, the Chief Executive will be a visible, effective advocate with a passion for the charity’s cause, inspiring and leading diverse and experienced staff teams in the UK, and in the World Child Cancer UK international programmes.

The role will also revise and drive a globalised fundraising strategy to provide for year on year growth in income, identify and drive the development of new and innovative fundraising sources and lead an effective communications strategy to widen their reach. The CEO will work collaboratively with the Boards and leadership teams of World Child Cancer Netherlands, and World Child Cancer USA in continuing their journey towards greater global integration. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful strategic leadership and organisational development operating at executive board level within the third sector. You will also have a background of personally generating significant levels of income from a range of fundraising streams.
