Our Annual Ambassador Fundraising Dinner in 2023

£110,000 donations raised at our 2023 Ambassador Dinner – thank you to all our ambassadors and sponsors

On Thursday 13th July, World Child Cancer’s annual Ambassador Dinner took place in the iconic Church House Westminster in London.

Around 280 guests attended the event held to raise funds for the fight against childhood cancer.

An incredible amount of donations £110,000 netwere made on this memorable evening thanks to the generosity of our guests and title sponsor Wiggett group, silver sponsor Countryside, bronze sponsor AD Construction Group and late-night bar sponsor Faithorn Farrell Timms!

The evening started off with a drinks reception where guests were serenaded beautifully by violinist and student of the Royal Academy of Music, Iona Mcdonald.

Afterwards Mark Everard, ambassador of World Child Cancer, warmly welcomed all attendants. The ambassadors and their guests then sat down for a mouth-watering three-course dinner.

Throughout the evening, the guests were invited to bid on a range of alluring prizes in our online silent auction. Piera Freccero, Director of Programmes, delivered a powerful and inspiring speech. She showcased an informative video featuring Programme Coordinator for Bangladesh, Jewel Ahmed, sharing World Child Cancer’s progress so far and the impact we have had in countries such as Bangladesh.

The evening concluded with a game of Heads and Tails, hosted by ambassadors Mark Everard and Geeta Nanda. Participants bet on either heads or tails until there was only one winner left standing, in this case a guest from Ventro Group congratulations!

A huge thank you again to all of our guests, event sponsors, ambassadors and staff who truly made this evening unforgettable
